The short version
Bimble has no account, no server and no analytics. Your tasks, lists, notes and history are stored on your device. Nothing you write is sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to be sent — the app makes no network requests of its own.
If you turn on iCloud sync, your data travels between your own devices through your private iCloud account, which only you can read. We cannot see it.

What Bimble stores, and where
On your device. Tasks, subtasks, lists, tags, notes, reminders, repeat rules, completion history and your settings are saved in a local database on your iPhone. A small summary of the current day is shared with the Bimble widgets and Live Activity through a private app group on the same device.
In your iCloud, if you choose. iCloud sync is optional and off unless you turn it on. When it is on, your Bimble data is stored in the private database of your own iCloud account, under Apple’s terms and encryption. We have no access to that container’s contents, no keys to it, and no way to read, export or restore your data. Turning sync off leaves whatever is already in iCloud untouched.
Nowhere else. Bimble contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or attribution SDKs. It does not use the advertising identifier, does not track you across apps or websites, and never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt because it has nothing to ask for.
Your calendar
If you grant calendar access, Bimble reads events from the calendars you select and draws them alongside your tasks so you can plan around them.
- Calendar events are read only. Bimble never creates, edits or deletes an event.
- Event details are read on your device and are used only to draw your day. They are not uploaded to us.
- You can withdraw access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars, or change which calendars are mirrored inside Bimble. Bimble keeps working without calendar access.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally by your device. Bimble has no push server and sends no remote notifications, no marketing messages and no badge counts. Notifications can be turned off entirely in Bimble’s settings or in iOS Settings.
Live Activities and widgets
The Live Activity, Dynamic Island and Lock Screen accessories are updated locally by the app. They use no push tokens and no remote updates. The data behind them is the same on-device day summary described above.
Breaking a task into steps
Bimble Pro can suggest steps for a task. This runs on Apple’s on-device model (Apple Intelligence, iOS 26 and later) and nothing is sent to us or to any third-party AI service. There is no API key and no external provider involved.
What the feature sees is limited to the task’s title, its list name, its planned duration and your own tag names. Task notes are never included. Suggestions are shown to you and nothing is saved until you accept them.
Purchases
Bimble Pro subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple provides the app with transaction records for your Apple Account so it can tell whether your subscription is active. Apple’s handling of purchase data is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
Exporting and sharing
Export everything produces CSV and JSON files of your own data and hands them to the iOS share sheet. Where you send those files — Mail, Files, another app — is your choice, and what happens to them afterwards is governed by whatever service you chose. We receive no copy.
Deleting your data
- Erase everything in Bimble’s settings deletes every task, subtask and list. If iCloud sync is on, those deletions also travel to your other devices — the app says so before it proceeds.
- Deleting the app removes the local database from that device. Data already in iCloud is removed by deleting Bimble’s data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
Children
Bimble is a planner suitable for general audiences. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, and contains no ads, no social features and no user-to-user content.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data a company holds about you — for example under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, or the CCPA.
We do not collect or hold personal data about you, so there is no profile to access or delete. Your own data is in your hands: it lives on your device, it can be exported in full at any time, and it can be erased from within the app. If you want to raise a request or a concern anyway, write to privacy@hodev.me and we will respond.
Third parties
The only third party involved in Bimble is Apple, in its roles as the operator of iCloud, the App Store and iOS notification and purchase services. Apple’s privacy policy applies to those services: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
There are no other processors, no data brokers, and no data is sold or shared for advertising.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the current version is always available at this address. Material changes to how data is handled will be described in the app’s release notes.
